We all moved to central Wisconsin in 1999 as Sharon had taken a job at the hospital in Stanley. We were carefree renters for a while but kept dreaming of owning a place in the country. Our dream piece of property was found and purchased in the spring of 2000. The property, an old dairy farm, consists of 157 acres. Half is cropland and the remainder consists of grazing land and forest. The land also contains some old barns, a pleasant valley, a large spring-fed pond and a meandering creek.

Our home was soon built 1/4 mile off the nearest road in order to secure our privacy but something was missing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With all this land and open space we desperately wanted some kind of animal to share it with - but what??? As we were researching llamas, we accidently discovered alpacas and soon fell "head over heels" for them. After several farm visits, we purchased two pregnant Suri alpacas in the spring of 2002. Now all we had to do was build a new barn, establish multiple pastures and ready ourselves for the arrival of our moms and babies in the fall.

On October 18th, 2002 our moms and beautiful new cria arrived and boy were we ready! We now anxiously await the birth of more Simply Suris alpacas here at Itteldew Farm.
